Animal Communication
Carol and Elizabeth (resident cat) grieving over the loss of Mathilda, who was killed by a car 3 weeks earlier after having gotten outside. Carol wanted to check in with Elizabeth, to make sure she knew that Carol was also upset, and to see how Elizabeth was feeling. What might Elizabeth think has happened? Would she be happy to have another cat companion, or not? (These sorts of questions are often brought out during such times). Elizabeth told me that she was ready to move on, but wanted an explanation of the whereabouts of Mathilda! I was struck by her candid nature, and awareness of the situation. She indicated a very sincere love for Carol, and wants Carol to feel better. Elizabeth started to eat better, which helped Carol feel better. She did not blame Carol, and was surprised that cars are so fatal. She would love another cat companion eventually, but not yet. The new cat should not look like Mathilda, and not eat too much or sleep on her spot on the bed!
I recommended that Carol and Elizabeth stay in touch, telepathically, especially when apart. The use of flower essences for grieving should be shared, for both the energetic resonance, and the psychological support.
Carol reported later that Elizabeth seemed more relaxed, and settled. She also seems to have a very keen awareness of cars, and has not attempted to go near the garage! Now it seems that Carole needs to tell Elizabeth that cars are not as dangerous for people, as they are for cats. The awareness and love of cats cannot be underestimated.
Reiki
Felice was managing a web-based business, getting tired and worn out. As cats do, her 4 cats were noticing her level of energy dropping. King Tut in particular, wanted to help with balancing Felice. I did a distance healing session for both Felice and King Tut, noting that there were several chakras out of balance. During the session, Felice fell asleep, and King Tut came into the room to join her. He sat in an area that was unusual for him. The next morning she awoke with much renewed energy, and later that day she experienced a burst of energy. Changes were made in her life months later, to which she attributed the energy balancing through Reiki.
Flower Essences
Flower essences work extremely well on rescued animals, as the emotions are usually out of balance in those situations. Foster cats provide a wonderful opportunity to witness changes in behavior and emotion in relation to flower essence use, as the animal is resident for a period of time and the changes can be observed. Chester (name changed for use of this case study) was rescued from a local shelter, and taken into the rescue group. I was the foster home for 10 weeks, and administered several essences. Pine is helpful with animals that may be feeling unloved, abandoned, etc. – such as when they wind up in shelters! I started Chester on Pine, and then added Heather for the sometimes clingy behavior that I was noticing – following me from room to room, which was bothering my two resident cats! Chester’s confidence was healthy, but when an animal is rescued, they often are afraid of being abandoned again. Finally, I started to use Walnut in preparation for the eventual adoption, as Walnut is very helpful for animals (and humans) when adjustments to new home or environs is needed. All in all, Chester adapted very well to living in a foster home, and has reportedly adjusted very well to an adoptive home.
